The business was set up and launched in March 2018 and is run by Farleigh Hungerford. Farleigh was born with a creative spirit; a big vision and ambition to create a sustainable womenswear brand that makes women feel beautiful, valued and feminine while also maintaining an obligation to look after the planet.
With an MA degree from Edinburgh University, Farleigh worked in Interior Design for Kit Kemp, No 12 Interiors and Wendy Haworth based in Los Angeles. Hugely passionate about vintage clothes and textiles, she gets much inspiration from unique markets and designs around the world. It was during her time discovering the vintage markets in Los Angeles that Farleigh began collecting, up-cycling and selling vintage clothes online. She is fully aware of the damage fashion has on the environment and so her values are very much to encourage slow and conscious fashion design.
Farleigh’s brand promotes conscious consumerism by selling small quantities of each of her unique-to-Farleigh designs. Like ‘art pieces,’ she encourages people to treasure her items for life. She believes the future is about buying long term investment pieces for life and looking after what one buys.
