WeForest has become a member of the Global Mangrove Alliance (GMA), which brings together NGOs, governments, scientists, industry, local communities and funders with a common goal of conserving and restoring mangrove ecosystems.

Launched in 2018 and coordinated by Conservation International, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, the Nature Conservancy, Wetlands International and the World Wildlife Fund, the GMA has a three-pronged objective: halting mangrove loss, implementing science-based restoration and building awareness.

By joining the GMA, WeForest aims to strengthen its approach to mangrove restoration and contribute to global efforts to protect these crucially important ecosystems.
