New app shares sustainable land management stories from across the globe

The World Overview of Conservation Approaches and Technologies (WOCAT) is a global network of soil and water conservation specialists that supports innovation and decision-making processes in sustainable land management.

To share the best practices from across the globe, the network recently launched an educational app for tablets and android phones. The app introduces us to the topic of sustainable land management and provides a platform for WOCAT to share a diversity of stories that describe how land users care for their land and maintain healthy natural resources.

From the orchard-based agroforestry system in Tajikistan, to rooftop rainwater harvesting in Nepal, to the home gardens of Cambodia, these experiences from the field serve to educate and teach us about sustainable land management from those at its forefront.

WOCAT SLM app can be downloaded from this link or from here for your iPad.
