Role Overview

You’ll be responsible for managing and creating engaging, high-quality content across our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), email marketing campaigns (Mailchimp), and our website blog. You’ll be managing creative content projects and pipelines (briefing, Monday.com, Trello boards). You’ll also collaborate with external freelancers on blog copywriting and video production while leading the design, strategy, and copywriting for social media and emails yourself.

Responsabilities

  • Develop, execute, and manage an impactful content strategy across social media, email marketing, and our blog, ensuring alignment with WeForest’s brand guidelines and objectives.
  • Create engaging content (copywriting, graphic design, imagery) tailored to each platform (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Mailchimp) to grow our audience and foster meaningful engagement for WeForest and key partners.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with freelance blog copywriters and video production specialists to produce compelling storytelling content.
  • Strategically plan and schedule content to optimise reach and engagement across channels.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on content performance, continuously optimising strategy based on data-driven insights.
  • Ensure consistency of brand tone, voice, and visual identity across all content and communication materials.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in digital marketing and sustainability communications.

Required experience and skills

  • Proven experience in managing social media and content marketing for NGOs or impact-driven organisations.
  • Excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to create compelling and creative content.
  • Strong visual content creation and graphic design skills (experience with Canva is essential).
  • Experience with email marketing platforms, especially Mailchimp.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting, demonstrating initiative, creativity, and strategic thinking.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience tracking and interpreting social media and content marketing metrics.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities.

Preferred qualifications

  • Previous experience or demonstrable knowledge in environmental conservation, forest restoration, sustainability, or related fields.
  • Understanding of digital marketing strategies and techniques relevant to non-profit sector communications.

Language requirement

Native or fluent English

  • Previous experience in sustainability and in environmental conservation-related fields required
  • Creative thinker with a strategic approach to content planning and execution.
  • Confident communicator who can collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external freelancers.
  • Proactive, adaptable, flexible and comfortable working independently.
