The Chintumukulu Conservancy sits on an old migration route that hasn’t seen elephants for a long time – until Masuku (Uapaca kirkiana) fruiting season! Six elephants came up from the Luangwa valley and roamed around the conservancy looking for the fruit. Apparently these elephants still remember there are plenty of them in the escarpment forest.
