Background
WeForest is a start up NGO committed to making a major difference in the world through large scale sustainable reforestation. We have teams in Belgium, the Netherlands, UK and the USA.
We are have several job openings for creative, committed and motivated team-members, willing to contribute to this unstoppable movement to reforest the Earth.
All the positions are volunteer and will benefit from expense reimbursement. Other benefits like travel to projects will be considered, depending on the job and experience.

#1: Assistant to the CEO

Summary:
This position is instrumental in supporting the organization in all aspects of management. It is an all round job, where exposure to all kinds of tasks and a huge network will provide a wonderful learning experience. The role can grow depending on personal initiatives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supporting the CEO for key activities in the areas of finances, administration, correspondence and team coordination.
• Support the organization with HR activities and advise management team.

KEY SKILLS

• Perfect English, advanced computer skills, proactive, administration and organization skills, previous work experience welcome.

CONDITIONS

• The candidate could preferably be based in Belgium, but other locations in other countries (Netherland, UK) could also be considered.
• Availability minimum 2 days per week, can include week end.

#2: Partnership Manager

Summary:
Responsible for managing all WeForest partnerships. Working with management team in identifying, implementing and maintaining the most effective partnerships for WeForest.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Determine Partnership Strategy with Board.
• Categorize partnerships (for example Forestry, Permaculture, Universities, etc..).
• Initiate key partnerships and determine scope of agreement.
• Manage relationships through regular contact and interaction.
• Provide internal teams with ongoing updates for website & newsletter.

KEY SKILLS

• Native English.
• Solid communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse and virtual partners.

CONDITIONS

• Available 1.5 – 2 days per week, from home.
• Volunteer position, expenses paid.
• Reports to Director Marketing.

#3: Director partnerships Belgium

Part Time, Senior position

Summary: this position is instrumental in growing our WeForest presence in Belgium.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fundraising, Public Relations (PR) and Marketing activities in Belgium
• Identify companies likely to partner with Weforest
• Develop partnership proposal and follow up
• Attend numerous events at EU parliament and other networks
• Public speaking for WeForest

KEY SKILLS

• Experienced in public relations and public speaking
• Experienced in advocacy is a plus
• Experienced in fundraising
• Passion for our cause, even if not yet too knowledgeable about trees
• Perfect English, Dutch. French is a plus
• Well organized, independent

Part Time, Senior position

Summary: this position is instrumental in growing our WeForest presence in France.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fundraising, Public Relations (PR) and Marketing activities in France
• Identify companies likely to partner with Weforest
• Develop partnership proposal and follow up
• Attend network events
• Join CSR networks and represent WeForest
• Public speaking for WeForest

KEY SKILLS

• Experienced in public relations and public speaking
• Experienced in fundraising
• Passion for our cause, even if not yet too knowledgeable about trees
• Perfect French and good English expected
• Well organized, independent

Part Time, Senior position

Summary: this position is instrumental in growing our WeForest presence in the Netherlands.

• Identify companies likely to partner with Weforest
• Develop partnership proposal and follow up
• Attend network events
• Join CSR networks and represent WeForest
• Public speaking for WeForest

• Identify companies likely to partner with Weforest
• Develop partnership proposal and follow up
• Attend events
• Public speaking for WeForest

• Experienced in public relations and public speaking
• Experienced in fundraising
• Passion for our cause, even if not yet too knowledgeable about trees
• Perfect English
• Well organized, independent
